This year’s conference looks at the subject of ‘structured deposits’, especially in the light of several recent discoveries on Roman sites in the county. Other talks will open up the discussion to consideration of how much similar activities were common throughout time. The audience will also be encouraged to decide for themselves whether or not certain finds can be interpreted as part of ritual activity. Did they have had more prosaic origins?
