The Surrey Local History Committee, which is a committee of the Surrey Archaeological Society, exists to foster an interest in the history of Surrey. It does this by encouraging local history societies within the county, by the organisation of meetings, by publication and also by co-operation with other bodies, to discover the past and to maintain the heritage of Surrey, in history, architecture, landscape and archaeology. The Committee produces Surrey History annually. Members of the Surrey Archaeological Society receive Surrey History free as part of their membership entitlement.
Papers for publication in Surrey History are welcome and intending authors are invited to consult the editor for advice before proceeding. Enquiries should be sent to the Hon. Editor, Surrey History, Surrey Archaeological Society, Castle Arch, Guildford, GU1 3SX.
