Mike Fulford is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Reading and his responsibilities have included directing the Silchester Town Life Project, the Silchester Environs Iron Age Project, The Rural Settlement of Roman Britain Project and The Small Towns of Roman Britain Project. His principal research interests are in Roman archaeology, particularly in the fields of rural settlement, urbanism, economy, material culture, technology and trade. We look forward to welcoming Professor Fulford to the final Roman Studies Group lecture of the winter series 2015-6 to talk about the completion of work undertaken at Silchester.
