Woking Palace Excavation Open Day

A chance to see the results of the sixth season of excavations on this medieval and Tudor site.

* Tours of the trenches where archaeologists will explain the discoveries. * Displays of artefacts from the site. * Archaeology and history stalls to browse.

Please note that the last tour of the trenches leaves at 4pm and the site will close at 5pm.

Access: The site is approximately 1 mile from the centre of Old Woking. There is no parking at the site. Hoe Bridge School are kindly providing a free mini bus shuttle service between the school and Woking Palace between approx 11am and 4.30pm. Please follow the signs and park in the designated area at the school. You can also park in the centre of Old Woking and walk or cycle to the site via the signed route. Parking is in the larger gravel parking area beyond tarmac car park at the mini roundabout at the junction of the A247 and the B382.

Disabled visitors should contact 07722 299026 in advance to discuss access as the school mini buses are not suitable for this purpose.
