The Society owns geophysical survey equipment, which is operated by a small groups of trained volunteers and is under certain circumstances available for use on suitable sites in the county.
Topographical surveys are also carried out by our field survey teams, who may be able to help with particular projects. Other groups specialise in finds processing (see Special Interest Groups | Artefacts and Archives Research Group), excavation techniques and buildings surveys. Individuals members may be able to provide in specailist areas, such as flint indentification, etc. The Society also has contacts with environmental and conservation laboratories and may be able to provide introductions should a particular project require help in these areas.
