This event is part of the celebrations of the life and work of Capability Brown who worked at Madingley Hall in 1756. The Hall is now the home of the Institute of Continuing Education of the University of Cambridge. A pdf with full details is attached.
This conference will be focussing on the challenges facing Palaeolithic Archaeology in Britain today, and how they might be met or overcome. It has been arranged by Dr Matt Pope and Dr Clive Gamble.

An invitation to attend the 2nd Biennial Southeast England Regional conference on Saturday 26th November 2016 in the Exhibition Hall of Worthing College at their campus. The theme this year is Geology, Landscape and Humans in Southeast England.

This is the first time the important and multi faceted topic of Pilgrims and Pilgrimage has featured at a Medieval Studies Forum meeting. Two exciting external speakers will attend the meeting and be discussing pilgirmage from their perspectives: Martin Locker from UCL will be giving a presentation based on his research that set out to explore the link between the landscape and the pilgrim in Medieval Britain while John Jenkins from the University of York will discuss the experience of pilgrimage in relationship to English cathedrals that has arisen from the University's project.
The Local History Committee will be holding their Annual Symposium on Saturday 2nd April 2016 at The Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE. The symposium will cover various aspects of church history and also look at useful sources for historians.
